However you choose to spend your summer, whether it’s hiking to beautiful river swim-spots, chilling in the shade with a good book, or spending time with your family on the back porch, it can always be improved with a refreshing and healthy, cold beverage in your hand. Our Jun fills this role pretty well on its own, but if you’re looking for a way to mix it up for the summer, we’ve got some super fun mocktail ideas just for you.
Most of these recipes are for one drink and use 6 ounces of Shanti-Jun! So, one 12oz bottle will get you a mocktail for both you and a loved one!Â
1. Ginger Mint
A classy and simple drink that will cool you down and awaken your taste buds.

Ingredients:
- 6 oz Ginger Shanti-JunÂ
- 1 Fresh ginger root
- 8 Fresh mint (or lemon balm) leaves
- Slick slicing skills
How to make it:
- Peel and cut ginger into two thin slices
- Chop 6 mint leaves into small pieces
- Put mint and ginger in a glass with some ice and fill with Ginger Shanti-Jun
- Garnish with the extra two mint leaves and enjoy
*Note: If you like things a little sweeter, you can add a bit of honey or brown sugar at the bottom of the glass, just don’t forget to stir!
2. Lemon Lavender Lemonade
This one’s got lemon twice in its name and twice in its game. If you’re a fan of that tart, refreshing, summer flavor, then this simple drink is a must-make for you.
Ingredients:
- 6oz Lemon Lavender Shanti-Jun
- 1 Lemon
- 1 tsp Honey
- Just a pinch of patience
How to make it:
- Chill your glass (this will help the honey stay on the rim better) by putting it in the freezer for 10-20 minutes
- Drizzle some honey on a plate, then turn the cold glass over and put the rim in the honey until there’s a good layer
- Slice the lemon and put as many pieces as you want in the glass
- Add a little ice and pour in Lemon Lavender Shanti-JunÂ
- Top it off by zesting a little of the lemon peel onto the honey rim (don’t worry if some gets in the glass, it’ll just add some extra flavor!)
*Note: This drink can also be made with Elderberry Lemon Shanti-Jun, which will give it a lovely pink color
3. Elder(blue)berry Lemon Slushie
If the day is just too hot not to have a frozen treat, then get out your blender, because this is the slushie for you.
Ingredients/Supplies:
- 6 oz Elderberry Lemon Shanti-Jun
- 1 cup Frozen blueberries
- A blender
- A tolerance for the loud sound of turning solids into slushies
How to make it:
- Fill your glass halfway with frozen blueberries (about 1 cup)
- Fill it the rest of the way with crushed ice (or if you like your fruit and don’t care for that bit of crunch, you can fill it all the way with blueberries and forget the ice altogether to get what’s almost closer to sorbet than a slushie)
- Pour Elderberry Lemon Shanti-Jun over the fruit and ice until your glass is full to the brim
- Pour the contents of the glass into the blender and blend until smooth (or you reach your desired consistency)
*Note: This can also be made with Lemon Lavender Shanti-Jun for a simple, blue(berry) lemonade slushie
4. Sparkling Tulsi Rose Cooler
This one takes a little preparation, but the wait is worth it. If you’re looking for something light to cool down a hot day or to sip on in the afternoon, this subtle, tasty drink could be just the thing.
Ingredients:
- 6oz Tulsi Rose Shanti-Jun
- 6oz Carbonated water (flavored on unflavored)
- 1 Nasturtium flower (optional)
- A little forethought
How to make it:
- Fill an ice cube tray with Tulsi Rose Shanti-Jun (the carbonation will make the drink expand as it freezes, so only fill slots about halfway)
- Wait ~3-4 hours for the Jun to freeze completely
- Once frozen, pop those ice cubes into a glass (as many as you can fit)
- Pour your preferred sparkling water (lemon-lime flavors go nicely) over the Jun-cubes
- Garnish with your edible nasturtium flower
- Sip and enjoy as the Tulsi Rose melts into your cold sparkling beverage; it only gets better over time
5. Blueberry Basil Sangria (16oz pitcher)
A non-alcoholic take on the classic Spanish wine beverage, this drink is super fun, unique, and shareable.
Ingredients:
- 16oz Blueberry Basil Shanti-Jun
- 1 Apple
- 1 OrangeÂ
- 1 tsp brown sugar, honey, or sweetener of choice
- ½ tsp Cinnamon
- Cinnamon sticks (optional)
- Friends and family to share it with (also optional, but if you’re doing it alone, you’re gonna need a big appetite)
How to make it:
- Chop the apple and orange into cubes (don’t worry about peeling either fruit… unless you prefer it that way!) and put them into a pitcher
- Add ½ tsp of cinnamon and 1 tsp of brown sugar (or other sweetener) to pitcher and stir
- Pour the Blueberry Basil Shanti-Jun and mix it all up together
- Pour yourself and your friends a serving, and don’t forget to munch on that fruit when you’re done
